Need-Based Support for Toddlers
A Short Presentation for Parents
How can we recognize the needs of our little ones and lovingly guide them through the exciting early years of life?
Perhaps you know the feeling of sometimes feeling unsure, of not knowing how to handle a situation more calmly. From my own experience as a mother, I know how challenging some situations can be. It’s not always clear to us what need lies behind our children’s actions and what they need to feel safe and secure.
Together, we’ll explore, among other things:
-
What are needs, and how can we communicate them easily and clearly?
-
How does punishment differ from consequences?
As a mother, I sought out alternative approaches to parenting, which I found through my training with people such as Jesper Juul, Nora Imlau, Marshall Rosenberg, Nicola Schmidt, Stefanie Stahl, and Gerald Hüther. In this talk, I’ll share insights, ideas, and practical tips for everyday life on how to provide loving, needs-based support.
I look forward to an open exchange with you!
